Happy Ganesh Chathurthi


 First Of All, Happy Ganesha Chathurti to all....I am a new Blogger on this Blog and my name is Arnav.

I am starting to write my posts from today as it is the Birthday of Lord Ganesha who symbolizes new beginnings. So let's start off.


What, When , How section - 

Ganesha also know as अष्ठविनायक, चतुर्भुज and गजानंद  is the favorite god of most of the kids(like me).

He is the son of Shiva and Parvati , He also has a brother named Kartikey - The god of War. His sacred animal is the Elephant because when by mistake Lord Shiva cut off his head the gods found an animal head for him and that animal was an elephant. He was  also known for the battle with Parashuram who he let him cut his tusk.

As per the tradition, Lord Ganesha was born during the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month in the Hindu calendar. According to the Roman calendar, the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi falls during August- September. This year Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on Saturday, 22 August.Which is no doubt today. 

Now the question arises how can it be celebrated amidst the pandemic?

We can still celebrate the Festival by making or buying the Ganesha idols which are made of clay and are Eco-friendly and after 11 days of Puja we can immerse them in the buckets containing waters.
